چکیده

A 70-year-old-man was referred to our hospital for percutaneous closure of a secundum atrial septal defect (ASD). His transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) showed 2 left-to-right ASDs with a pulmonary/systemic flow ratio (Q p/Q s) of 1.89 and normal left ventricular function. Cardiac computed tomography (CT) using 320-detector row CT (Aquilion ONE VISION edition, Toshiba Medical Systems, Tokyo, Japan) was performed for further evaluation. A 20-gauge needle was inserted into the right median cubital vein, and iopamidol (370 mg/ml) was administrated biphasically through a dual-head

Partial anomalous pulmonary venous return and atrial septal defect in adult patients detected with 128-slice multidetector computed tomography

The present series describes a group of adults with left-to-right shunts including partial anomalous pulmonary venous return (PAPVR) and/or an atrial septal defect (ASD) evaluated with ECG-gated 128-slice multidetector computed tomography (MDCT). PAPVR is defined as a left-to-right shunt where one or more, but not all, pulmonary veins drain into a systemic vein or the right atrium. PAPVR involv...

Biatrial myxoma and atrial septal defect.

Myxomas are rarely associated with congenital cardiac anomalies. We report a case of a young female presenting with symptoms of atrial myxoma but having co-existing ASD visualized on 64 slice multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) prior to cardiac surgery. Patient had a successful resection of biatrial myxoma and ASD repair. This case is unique as the myxoma originated from the inferior margi...

Interrupted inferior vena cava and partial anomalous pulmonary venous return with atrial septal defect in a 38-year-old adult: a case report

We present a woman having congenital anomalies of the inferior vena cava and partial anomalous pulmonary venous return from the right lung with atrial septal defect in a 38-year-old. Congenital anomalies of inferior vena cava are rare. They are seen more often in young males. If there are not other anomalies, they are latent for a long time. Peripheral venous thrombosis, chronic venous insuffic...

Interrupted Aortic Arch Associated with AP Window and Complex Cardiac Anomalies: Multi Detector Computed Tomography Findings.

Interrupted aortic arch is a rare congenital malformation of the aortic arch defined as a loss of luminal continuity between the ascending and descending portions of the aorta. In a simple interrupted aortic arch, only a ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus are observed. We present a rare complex form of type A interrupted aorta with an aortopulmonary window, an atrial septal ...

Detection of intimal defect by 64-row multidetector computed tomography in patients with acute aortic intramural hematoma.

BACKGROUND Previous pathological and clinical studies demonstrated an intimal defect in patients with acute aortic intramural hematoma (IMH). The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence and clinical outcome of intimal defect detected by multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) in patients with IMH. METHODS AND RESULTS We retrospectively analyzed 38 consecutive patients with IM...
